Steve and Diane and their family have been members of SGCP since 1999. Steve works at So. Cal Gas Company and Diane is a homemaker, a full-time grandma, and daughter to Dick and Marcie Markwood who live with them and also attends our church.
Steve manages our church Bookstore and has in the past served as a Care Group Leader. Both Steve and Diane have been vitally involved in building the church through hospitality, discipleship, book groups, and serving wherever they see a need. Both have helped in remodeling the church, cooking and serving at picnics and fundraisers; Diane, through the years, has served in many ways - Children's Ministry, Women's Counseling, SGA (Sovereign Grace Academy). She is currently studying counseling with CCEF in order to counsel women here at the church.
Steve's hobbies include reading, fishing, hunting and hiking. He's the church's "outdoorsman" and the one we all want to live with during the Zombie Apocalypse. Diane's hobbies are family, church and friends. When she's not Skyping with her grandchildren, helping them with reading, she's caring for her parents and helping her daughter with infant twin boys.
Steve's favorite movies are Lonesome Dove, A River Runs Through It, The Way and Ken Burns documentaries. Diane-While You Were Sleeping and watching any movie with Steve - but she does have a reputation for falling asleep during movies. :)
