Grace Kid's Sunday School Lesson: May 17th, 2020
Due to some technical difficulties, we weren't able to post last week's Sunday School Lesson from Rick Leahy. We have it now, so will post it. He refers to Mother's Day, because it was supposed to be posted last Sunday. We reposted the kid "talk about" video as well because it goes with the lesson. We've added some discussion questions below it to help spark some conversation.
We hope that these Sunday School blog posts have been helpful!
Kid Video: (Re-post) Talking about God's care in hard times.
Things to talk about:
Ask: • What do you think is the hardest thing Bryan had to go through?
• How did you see God at work even though Bryan had a hard time?
• Tell about a story of your own that Bryan’s story reminded you of.
Parents: Share your own story first.
Dealing with Fear (fighting fear with scripture).
Cut out and color the "Montsters" - label one or more of the "monsters" with what you are afraid of.
Choose a scripture to write out on a thin strip of paper and wrap around the fear. See illustration on link.
For older kids: you could decorate a tissue box and label it FEARS. Have the kids write out fears on slips of papers to put inside. Have them write some of the scriptures listed below to put on /over/ around the box.
Scripture from our lesson:
"Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me."
